Ways to Pay Your Rent

Standing Order

You may pay by this method if you have either a bank or giro bank account. Payments will then be credited to your account automatically each week or month, depending on your arrangement. To set up a standing order, please download and complete a standing order request form. Alternatively you can order a print version of the Standing Order form.

Direct Debit

You can pay your rent and other charges by Direct Debit. There is a choice of two dates: the 1st or 16th day of each month.  To set up a Direct Debit, please download and complete the Direct Debit mandate form. Alternatively, you can order a print version of the Direct Debit form. Once your request has been received and processed by the Rent Collection Service (RCS), we will write to you to tell you the monthly amount you will pay and the date of the first payment

Swipe Card (cash only)

You can pay your rent/charges at any Post Office OR PayPoint outlet in the United Kingdom (free of charge). To request a Swipe Card you should either contact the RCS on 020 8871 8987 or by email us direct at rents@wandsworth.gov.uk.

You must quote your name, address and rent account reference number (starting with 250....)

To pay with a swipe card:

1. Present your card at a post office or PayPoint outlet with your cash payment;

2. Your card will be swiped and your payment processed;

3. Your card is returned to you with your receipt, and

4. Keep your receipt as proof of payment in the plastic wallet provided.

We can provide you with information about the balance on your account in any one of the following ways:

1. You will continue to receive your quarterly rent statement;

2. We will supply you with a mini-statement for any period on request. Telephone 020 8871 8987;

3. With a special PIN Number, check the balance on your account; or

4. You can:

(a) email info@aetmo.co.uk

(b) text the word RENTS to 07797-805456 followed by your rent reference number, your address and your query

(c) telephone 0208 785 7573

(d) write to Ackroydon East TMO and the information will be sent to you - see Contact Us

Automated telephone payments by debit and credit cards

Telephone: 0845 8350 129, day or night (see call charges).

You will need to have your debit/credit card number ready and its expiry date. You will also need to know your rent account number and the amount you want to pay.

Please note: There is a service charge of 1.4% if you pay by credit card. There is no charge for debit cards.

We cannot accept payment by American Express and Diners card.

By telephone

Accounts in arrears only

If you are in arrears with your rent/charges and wish to speak to an advisor to discuss making payments towards your arrears, please call 0208 785 7573 between 9am and 5pm. You must have a Bank Debit card in order to pay over the telephone.

By post

Please note that Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to "Wandsworth Council" and NOT to any individual member of staff. Please ensure that your rent account reference number (starting with 250....) is clearly quoted on the reverse of the cheque. Only send cash through the post by Registered Mail.
